Packer the Snowman

Merry Christmas!  

We had an awesome Christmas this year for lots of reasons.  It was so much fun to watch Griffin open presents and get excited over them.  Last year, he slept through all of the festivities.  What a difference a year makes.  He actually took a few steps for the first time on Christmas Day too!  

 It started snowing in Raleigh/WF around 8PM and we woke up to snow everywhere.

Raleigh hasn't seen a white Christmas since 1947.  Wowza!  

Kevin built an awesome snowman and we lovingly named him, Packer.  So, meet Packer Bell. (and please notice Packer's right hand... making the "Wolfpack" symbol, Kevin was quite proud of this)

Cart Fun

Griffin helped me do some birthday party shopping a few weeks ago 

and was LOUNGING as we strolled the aisles.  It was hilarious!

Quack Quack

Meet "Quack Quack."  He is our Elf on the Shelf.

Griffin says, "quack quack" all the time, so we decided to name him "Quack Quack."

Today, he started saying "Tucker."  

If only he would have said that 3 weeks ago, our elf may have had the same name as our dog!

NCSU QB Pic

We had Griffin's 12 month pictures taken on December 4th (w/ Lauren Brady again, stay tuned to the blog for those pics to be posted here soon).  We started at Carter-Finley Stadium and were lucky enough to get the picture above with QB Russell Wilson.  Kevin got it enlarged and was able to get it signed by RW last Sunday!  What an awesome keepsake for G!  

Maybe it will be worth something one day. :)

Party Time

We had fun celebrating Griffin's first birthday with family on Sunday, December 12th!  Griffin enjoyed his cake and had fun riding around in his new wheels, with his cousins happily pushing him along, after he got all cleaned up.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day! We hope you had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving with family and friends.  

We sure had a lot to be thankful for this year...especially the little guy in the picture above.

11 months old!

Griffin is 11 months old!  It's so hard to believe that he will turn one in just a month!

Middleburg, VA

I had a nice trip to Middleburg, VA last week.  While it was really hard to be away from Griffin (and Kevin) for so long, it was a beautiful place to visit.  The little cottage above was where I stayed.  Cute, huh?

Halloween

Our n'hood has a Halloween parade every year and this year was a first year to participate and witness the parade.  Kevin and I have slept through it in years past...haha...not this year!  Here are some pics from Halloween and the parade.  Our little puppy enjoyed his first Halloween!

New Tricks

Today, Griffin did several new/funny/scary things.  The first was finding the vent and discovering that it comes out (new/funny)!  The second was climbing the stairs and playing with a JL Lane bag that was in plastic (funny/scary).  Notice how thrilled he is with his new findings in the photo!  The third was climbing on his stool and standing...yes, I said standing... on it (kinda funny/scary)!  YIKES!  That one was a little too dangerous, so I didn't get a picture before I got him down.  Gosh, what a silly little boy.  LOVE him!
